How to Remove Makeup Properly (Steps 1 to 4)

Step 1: Wash Your Hands

Before touching your face, wash your hands with soap and water. Clean hands help reduce the transfer of dirt and bacteria to your skin during makeup removal.

Step 2: Gently Remove Makeup

Use a suitable makeup remover, micellar water, cleansing balm, or cleansing oil. Apply it gently to the face and allow it to dissolve makeup before wiping. Avoid vigorous rubbing, particularly around the delicate eye area.

Step 3: Cleanse Your Face

After removing most of the makeup, wash your face with a gentle facial cleanser and lukewarm water. This helps remove remaining makeup, sunscreen, oil, and other residue from the skin.

Step 4: Moisturize

Pat your face dry with a clean, soft towel and apply a moisturizer. Moisturizing after cleansing helps maintain the skin’s moisture balance and supports a healthy skin barrier.
